I put all my projects on to one CD. Then I made I CD cover for it which included my logo that I designed.
Here's a picture of the front /side view.

Back view with the list of projects that are on the CD.

Wanderlust Collage

This is my Photoshop collage. As you can see, I was inspired by Matt Wisniewski's technique of blending nature with fashion models. The two women depicted here were from a Faint Magazine photoshoot called "Wanderlust" which shares the same name as my psuedo clothing company that I had to make for my CAD for Fashion Illustration class last semester and is now doubling as my digital art company for my Digital Art class this semester.
The trees that appear on their backs are photos from my dad's trip to Yosemite. I also used scanned in flowers. The white rose is from my garden at home and the purple flower I found outside of my classroom. Around the white rose is one of my favorite quotes from J.R.R. Tolkien, "All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost". I also included the title of one of Tupac's songs "To Live and Die in LA". Both of the text were hand written and scanned in. The background of the collage was a picture I took while driving down the 10 fwy in West LA. I added a sun with clouds and birds to the background which was a part of a charcoal drawing that I drew last semester in my Art10ab class.

Artist A Day: Collages

Collages use several different images to create one picture. I really love all of Matt Wisniewski's artwork. His style suits me well as he blends two of my favorite things together, fashion and nature, to create beautiful digital collages.

Adobe Illustrator Portraits

These are the final products of my Adobe Illustrator portrait. I took my original picture as depicted in my last post and traced over it using Adobe Illustrator. Then I created a background using my last name initial, "K". I took the "K" image and made a color swatch out of it and then tiled it in the background. The first picture was colored with a realistic color palette.

The colors I used in the second image were based on a picture of pastel colored ice creams. I uploaded the ice cream photo to Kuler and created a color palette from it.

I was assigned to take a picture of myself and create a portrait from it using Adobe Illustrator. This is the image that I used.

Character - Life After Death

This is a character I created on Adobe Illustrator using only the shape and line tools. I got the idea for the character from tattoos of skulls and roses. To me it symbolizes death as depicted by the skull and life or rebirth as depicted by the flowers.

Egon Schiele in Abstract

This is an oil painting from Austrian painter Egon Schiele entitled "The Poet". I did my own abstract rendition of the painting using Adobe Illustrator.

You can check out the original version of Schiele's "The Painter" here
